Hi, I'm Mel.
I created Pause from a very real place in my own life. As a mum to a high-needs child, life can feel unpredictable, and the noise rarely stops. I know how easily women put themselves last.
So I built somewhere different. A quiet sanctuary in Papamoa where you're completely looked after. Where you can rest, breathe, and remember what it feels like to be cared for, even for an hour.
Every detail here has been created with intention. Soft lighting, a warm massage table, a peaceful atmosphere, a space designed just for you.
A session at Pause is unhurried. A short chat about your skin, then a double cleanse, gentle steam, slow facial massage and a mask chosen for you. You leave with your skin glowing and your shoulders a little lower than when you arrived.

The space
Pause is a calm little home studio on Wairakei Avenue, Papamoa Beach, a short drive from Tauranga and Mount Maunganui. One client at a time, by appointment, with nowhere else you need to be. Warm towels, gentle steam, candlelight and quiet.
Treatments use Esthemax Hydrojelly masks and LED light therapy alongside slow, intentional massage. Results for your skin, rest for the rest of you.
